Basic Function: Project Manager will assess, plan, organize, coordinate, direct, implement and supervise the daily execution of the transponder fulfillment operation under the direct supervision of the Area Director of Service Contract Programs. All transponder fulfillment services will report to the project manager

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates and monitors the daily, weekly or monthly operation of the project and makes the necessary decisions and adjustments to ensure the operation is meeting the quality and quantity standards of the customer and the patrons.
  • Evaluates, Trains, develops, supervises and monitors the productivity of staff to ensure efficient and timely completion of the daily work quota.
  • Ensures that the expected qualities and quantities of work are done consistent with the established daily and weekly plans of the operation.
  • Provides essential departmental and operational information to the Tollway, patrons and internal management staff.
  • Prepares daily work schedules and assigns relief personnel to fill in for absent/vacating staff.
  • Develops periodic operational plans and schedules and notifies to his supervisor, his staff and other related Tollway personnel to align uniformity of action and enhance team productivity.
  • Assists in developing and overseeing quality control standards and procedures of the fulfillment services and ensures the correct implementation of procedures in to the specifications of the project.
  • Makes regular quality control inspections in accordance with established standards and ensures quality parameters are being met by the quality control specialist.
  • Maintains day-to-day relationship/rapport with Tollway staff, supervisor, patrons and staff.
  • Serves as the initial point of contact with outside major customers and contract officer of the Tollway regarding contract specifications and requirements.
  • Receives and responds to complains, discrepancies, notices of deficiencies, commendations, and inspection reports.
  • Maintains appropriate control over the quantities, qualities, inventories, storage and status determinations of transponder services on a daily bases -- and develops systems for distributing finished and storing incoming transponders.
  • Projects budget anticipated budges and maintains appropriate records to assure financial accountability and operates the contract within the assigned budget.
  • Prepares payroll time sheets, personnel records, and employee benefit reports.
  • Develops and implements a regular equipment maintenance, repair, and inspection program with proper documentation and shares the plan with all staff and Tollway personnel as applicable.
  • Implements transponder fulfillment service staff orientation and training programs.
  • Maintains timely management reports and ensures their distribution on a times manner.
  • Ensures the safety and well being of worker’s at the fulfillment service site; implements safety standards and programs.
  • Attends supervisory conferences.
  • * Requests purchases of supplies and equipment within budgetary limits; monitors program expenditures.
  • * Assists in developing contracts, budgets, marketing of transponder fulfillment services.
  • * Performs other duties as assigned.

Mental/Physical Demands: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Work requires prolonged concentration using a computer in analyzing and manipulating data. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Environmental Conditions: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Duties are performed in a typical office environment. No unusual or adverse working conditions exist.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: This position requires a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Experience: At least five years’ experience in a managerial position with demonstrated experience and success in meeting and or exceeding fulfillment of client orders preferably within a customer service oriented or manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong people management, mentoring and coaching skills.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of computer software materials and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Ability to instruct data entry and quality control employees in the performance of technical and operational tasks.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and other correspondence relating to the job.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and to organize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with team members, other agency resources and outside services in addressing customer’s needs
